Curiosity killed the cat but… satisfaction brought it back!

She is in her element supervising research process (in which several, hundreds or thousands of people may be engaged). After high school graduation, she chose political science at WSB-NLU, even though she had lots of ideas for life. She was considering studying applied mathematics, Japanese studies or history of art, however, her dream was to dance in a dance theatre and it came true. She was transferred from apprentice group into professional one in a very short time. “I was finally dancing on stage. It gave me a sense of fulfilment”- Justyna says and then adds “I was aware of the fact that without graduating ballet school I will not be able to go any further in dance. That is why I started thinking about studies.” She decided on WSB-NLU as there is a possibility to get two diplomas- both Polish and American. “WSB-NLU is a place where you can realize your ideas. What is more, teaching staff, together with vice chancellor Pawłowski in the vanguard, support students enthusiastically”- says Justyna who had a great impact on college life. She belonged to the first class of political science. These were those students with whom lecturers were searching and finally developing the best and the most effective formula of relaying and acquiring knowledge. “I remember those amazing talks with Matyja PhD about it”- Justyna mentions-“There was no such idea that could be met with unwillingness or powerlessness on college’s part. In collaboration with Michał Wysocki we created “Thema Questionis”-very ambitious student magazine about such topics as globalization or EU. Moreover, I organized workshops, lectures, meetings, conferences and other events for students. As a vice-chair of the student government I felt great.” The first job offer was like a dream for her. After the second year of studies she started her work experience in “Europa. Tygodnik idei” magazine- unique and ambitious project created in order to publish texts of the greatest minds of Europe (philosophers, sociologist, political scientists). After college graduation Justyna moved to Warsaw where she was offered a job as a managing editor. “Exchanging emails or phone calls with people whose books I have just read during studies was an amazing experience!”- emphasises Justyna –“I was as happy as a clam being responsible for editing so as the new number of “Europa” could appear every week. At this time, Justyna graduated MA studies in sociology and decided to try her hand at this domain. She got a job at ARC Rynek i Opinia Research Institute. “It is a great job as it combines my everlasting curiosity about the world with project management”- Justyna persuades-“As a researcher I still get new areas to explore, such as political views of constituents, deeply hidden motivation of people to make consumer choices or testing business ideas.” Justyna is not afraid of taking a risk as she believes that each experience (both positive and negative) can enrich and teach you something. Satisfying job for her is the one that makes her face new challenge. However, now she is living a new fascinating adventure which is maternity.

The future is still unknown, but as Justyna is definitely the architect of her own fortune, she will design something extraordinary!
